Creatine Supplementation Alleviates Fatigue after Exercise through Anti-Inflammatory Action in Skeletal Muscle and Brain

چکیده

Eccentric exercise induces muscle damage and inflammation, resulting in a state of reduced physical activity with dysfunction feeling tiredness after exercise. Creatine is known to act as an energy buffer, but it has also been suggested exert inhibitory effects on peripheral inflammation. The purpose this study was test the hypothesis that creatine supplementation alleviates fatigue eccentric explore mechanism effect. C57BL/6J mice were fed AIN-93G-formulated control diet or creatine-containing for 6 days then subjected downhill running, model exercise, assess total concentrations skeletal brain tissue, spontaneous activity, urine concentration titin N-fragment, inflammatory gene expression. results showed significantly increased tissue. Furthermore, decreased running maintained higher level activity. In addition, suppressed downhill-running-induced increase mRNA expression genes encoding ICAM-1, E-selectin, CD18, BKB1R soleus IL-1β hypothalamus. On other hand, did not clearly influence N-fragment. These indicate may alleviate by partially suppressing inflammation slow-twitch

Creatine supplementation and age influence muscle metabolism during exercise.

Young [n = 5, 30 +/- 5 (SD) yr] and middle-aged (n = 4, 58 +/- 4 yr) men and women performed single-leg knee-extension exercise inside a whole body magnetic resonance system. Two trials were performed 7 days apart and consisted of two 2-min bouts and a third bout continued to exhaustion, all separated by 3 min of recovery. 31P spectra were used to determine pH and relative concentrations of Pi,...

Fucoidan Supplementation Improves Exercise Performance and Exhibits Anti-Fatigue Action in Mice

Fucoidan (FCD) is a well-known bioactive constituent of seaweed extract that possess a wide spectrum of activities in biological systems, including anti-cancer, anti-inflammation and modulation of immune systems. However, evidence on the effects of FCD on exercise performance and physical fatigue is limited. Therefore, we investigated the potential beneficial effects of FCD on ergogenic and ant...

Exercise performance and muscle contractile properties after creatine monohydrate supplementation in aerobic-anaerobic training rats.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of creatine monohydrate supplementation on exercise performance and contractile variables in aerobic-anaerobic training rats. Twenty 90-day-old male Sprague Dawley rats were divided into two groups - creatine (Cr) and controls (K). The creatine group received creatine monohydrate as a nutritional supplement, whereas the control group was ...

Effect of oral creatine supplementation on skeletal muscle phosphocreatine resynthesis.

Biopsy samples were obtained from the vastus lateralis muscle of eight subjects after 0, 20, 60, and 120 s of recovery from intense electrically evoked isometric contraction. Later (10 days), the same procedures were performed using the other leg, but subjects ingested 20 g creatine (Cr)/day for the preceding 5 days. Muscle ATP, phosphocreatine (PCr), free Cr, and lactate concentrations were me...

The effect of creatine supplementation upon inflammatory and muscle soreness markers after a 30km race.

We have evaluated the effect of a creatine supplementation protocol upon inflammatory and muscle soreness markers: creatine kinase (CK), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), prostaglandin E2) (PGE2) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) after running 30km. Runners with previously experience in running marathons, with their personal best between 2.5-3h were supplemented for 5 days prior to the 30k...
